The American Legion’s 4th Annual Car Show was a success in raising funds for the Post’s Veteran’s Contingency Fund, as well as other programs sponosored by the Legion. We had 42 cars and bikes register, with two winners announced for the large prizes at the end of the day: Commander’s Choice and People’s Choice. The People’s Choice took home a large tool chest filled with tools, and the Commander’s Choice took home the large Weber grill.
Throughout the day, the SAL and ALR, along with the Auxiliary, sold hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, water and sodas to both participants and spectators who stopped by. Vendors shared their wares at the show for the first time this year and “car show tunes” were played throughout the day.
We will be holding our 5th Annual Car Show next year, so stay tuned.
